If it Glitters: St. Patricks Day Decor

Good Morning and happy Wednesday! Today we are sharing with you a quick and accessible  decor activity to keep the kiddos entertained. St. Patty's Day is one of my favorite holidays. Mostly because its the day that my wonderful hubby was born. How could I not love the holiday after that?! We love this activity because it's made by using odds and ends you already have lying around house and is inexpensive. You may recognize our heart cookie cutter from this post or this post. When entertaining little ones, it's key that you keep things fun and simple, while still creative and interactive.Supplies needed:

  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Patterned paper in various shades of green
  • Heart shaped cookie cutter
  • Buttons in various sizes

Trace hearts onto paper. For one shamrock, you'll need 3-4 heats depending on if you'd like it to be a 3 leaf or 4 leaf clover. If you'f like a 3D effect, trace 3 more hearts in a smaller size with a different patterned or colored paper. With doubled-sided stick tape or glue, add smaller heart onto the learger heart.Once you have them all glued on, place the 3 points of the hearts together in a circular fashion. Use glue or tape to adhere them together. If you're using glue, you'll want to cut out a small circle and place it on the backside of the shamrock so you have something to glue to. Next step is to place your button in the middle of the point to hide the mechanics.Ta-Dah! Youre Finished. You can now use your glittered shamrocks to add a little pizzaz to your home. I like to hang mine from my enterway chandelier but you can also use them to decorate your table or adorn to your door. How would you decorate with them?
