Three Blind Mice: Party with DLD

The day has finally come! The day we share a project we've had in the works for quite a while now. The idea came to me early last summer as a passing thought. I constantly have one of a kind ideas pop into my head but many of them fizzle out because of time constraints or other events I have going on. This one idea in particular stuck with me and I just could get it out of my head. After teaming up with some amazing vendors, we pulled off one crazy, fun and spectacular event!Alas- We bring you Three Blind Mice by Design Loves DetailThree Blind Mice by Design Loves DetailWe wanted to bring an old nursery rhyme up to date with some out of the box thinking and a vibrant color palate. For the decor, we chose vivid shades of neon green, neon yellow, hot pink, neon orange and accents of a bright blue. Like we always say, start with your color inspiration and the rest usually falls in place from there. Each decor element was carefully thought out to link directly back to our three little mice. Geometric patterns are huge right now, so using shapes of triangles and circles, also similar to a mouses shape, were right on point for our little soiree. Using some inexpensive cardboard from Dollar Tree, I cut out various triangles and made a table runner from their shapes. Top that off with some circle confetti, painted computer mice and homemade (and geometric) "mouse traps" and we had the perfect tablescape in place. Check back later to see the DIY for the mouse traps. These are so easy and can be used for any party or even wedding decor. Do you remember these wooden utensils? They also had a place at the table next to our wicker plate DIY soon to come. But no party is complete without a stellar invite. Polka Dots & Daisies did an incredible job on our printed materials. She captured the theme with a modern pattern and vibrant colors. Love!As a nod to the three blind mice, we purchased some fun neon glasses for each of the littles to enjoy. Watching them try to put these on was hilarious. You can see from these amazing photos from Cascio Photography, that our mice had some real fun! The real treat of our day was the insanely adorableness of these masks. We teamed up with Opposite of Far who sent us these mouse masks, which brought our whole party to life. Don't you just ADORE them! We sure do!  Check out the kissing mice, too cute!Three Blind Mice Modern Neon Birthday Party Invitation Ideas by Design Loves DetailThree Blind Mice Modern Neon Birthday Party Invitation Ideas by Design Loves Detail 02Three Blind Mice Modern Neon Birthday Party Ideas by Design Loves DetailThree Blind Mice Modern Neon Birthday Party Decor Ideas by Design Loves Detail 02Three Blind Mice Modern Neon Birthday Party by Design Loves Detail 08Three Blind Mice Kids Birthday Party with Neon Sunglasses by Design Loves DetailThree Blind Mice Kids Birthday Party Ideas with Play Mask by Opposite of Farr -- Design Loves DetailThree Blind Mice Modern Neon Birthday Party by Design Loves Detail 13Three Blind Mice Modern Neon Birthday Party by Design Loves Detail 14Three Blind Mice Boys Birthday Party Ideas with Mask by Opposite of Far -- Design Loves DetailThree Blind Mice Modern Neon Birthday Party by Design Loves Detail 15Three Blind Mice Kids Modern Neon Birthday by Design Loves Detail 04Be sure to check back tomorrow for more party ideas!
