#OneRoomChallenge: Master Bedroom Reveal!
It's finally done! Seriously so good to be done. This room has been so fun for me to work on. And did I tell you I found the perfect bed from hayneedle.com for about 1/3 the cost of the original one I had planned?! It's AMAZING. And my husband whined so much about me wanting a "princess bed". I of course ordered it anyway, and after he got it put together called me to say, "OK.... I actually really like this bed." I of course, said "oh, what was that you just said?!!" just so I could hear him admit for ONCE I was right!!! hahaaa. With the price for the king size being just $749, I wasn't sure how the quality would be, but can tell you that I've been really impressed-- it's sturdy and wasn't hard to assemble either (though you'll probably want to have two people for sure). I feel like it looks like a $2000+ bed, but it's sooo reasonably priced! I also love that it has more modern lines than a lot of the other four poster and canopy bed styles and it isn't overly feminine, which is why I think my husband really likes it too. It's just very architectural and bold, which is right up my alley! And you guys we got a new mattress and bedding! And that's been a game changer. No joke. I am so excited to go to sleep now and my husbands back pain has gone away! It took us so long to figure out what was causing his issues. If you're in Utah you've got to go check out Duerden's Mattress & Appliance in Bountiful. They're the best. So helpful and found us the perfect mattress for me and my husband. Also, BROOKLINEN. That's all I can say... I've legitimately never in my whole life had such comfy bedding. And it's beautiful too. I love their modern prints, fresh colors and the quality is incredible. Seriously. BEST BEDDING EVER.But not everything went as smoothly as the bed, bedding and mattress... we had a few challenges with this space... one was when my husband dropped the art above the bed as he was going to hang it and kiiiinda broke the custom frame... :(. It was okay though, mainly just chipped a couple little pieces of wood off the back and luckily the glass didn't break-- still I may have sworn a little! And also, the size of rug I wanted wasn't going to be in stock til January (waaaah!), so went with this back up option. All in all, I'm really happy with how it turned out! I've included product links for you at the slider bar below, but let me know if you have any questions. Also, the wall color is Benjamin Moore's Nelson Blue. It's super zen & soothing!
