My Fall Home Tour: Part 2
Welcome back! Today I'm featuring my kitchen & dining room with simple Autumn accents! My island countertop got a fresh new look with the faux olive branches, sage crock & wood bowl full of Asian pears-- a little taste of the Fall season! Pears are one of my favorites because they're a little less common, but still bring in the golden tones of nature & Autumn warmth. You can see the unique Farmer's Market pears I found last year and featured in my 2018 Fall Tour!
Another element that reminds me of that Farmer's Market feel is how I styled my dining table! I wanted to bring in the feeling of bounty & harvest this season has to offer, so for the table centerpiece I filled various vases with fresh autumn-inspired greens. Each vase gets it's own kind of greenery. I love Eucalyptus as you know! Silver Dollar & Seeded Eucalyptus are my two favorites! I also brought in some Rosemary stems and a few other fresh greens all from Trader Joe's at a great price!
Mixed in with the fresh greenery stems are a few pumpkins & squash from my son's garden! The lantern & candle holder add a little pop of black to ground the look & give a more modern edge. The flocked pumpkin was a TJMaxx find that some of you were able to snap up when I shared in stories! It looks cute anywhere! I love the way it plays off the tones in the fresh greens, proving you can mix faux and real pieces for a dimensional look!
I've found that if you bring even one real greenery element into the design it makes the other faux ones look more real! The eye kind of naturally assumes they're all real which is a great option since faux is so practical & I like being able to use them year after year without added expense!
