Guest Room Sneak Peek: Layered Rugs!

It's no secret that I love layered rugs. I've gotten a lot of questions recently about what rugs to use when layering and how to make it look amazing without breaking the bank. Luckily Rugs.com has some really affordable options and I couldn't wait to show you what I found for our guest room update-- so here's a little sneak peek!

When layering rugs, first you want to select a neutral larger rug as your foundation. I did an 8x10 in this amazing braided jute. It's a good weight, but not overly bulky which makes it great for layering and the natural fiber texture + color variation is a major bonus! I went with the "white" which has subtle tones of white, creams and ivory. It also comes in a natural color and grey as well! The neutrals are perfect for your base layer because they pair well with whatever you go with for the top rug and you can easily swap out the top layer if you ever want to change your color scheme.

For the top rug in my guest room, I went with this steal of a deal from Rugs.com as well-- only $69 (in the 5x8)! Can you believe that?! This rug looks like a pricey vintage one, but it's completely affordable and also so nice & soft too! I've been impressed with the balance of quality & great prices available on the Rugs.com website! I linked a bunch of awesome 5x8 rugs that are as low as $49 on sale now so you can find the perfect one(s) for your home!

To make it simpler for you, I put together some layered rug pairings that look great together-- easily shoppable below! I'll be sharing an up close video of the layered rugs in my home over on my IG stories today, plus the full reveal of our updated guest room will be coming soon, so stay tuned!
