Front Door Decor: Don't Forget Fall
Like 90% of the nation, Fall is my most admired season. We are so lucky to be able to experience the changing season here in Utah. I am not sure I could live anywhere that doesn't have a true Fall season. It just wouldn't be right. However, does anyone else notice the lack of celebration for Fall or even Thanksgiving? I feel like large corporations skip over Fall altogether. It's straight from Halloween to Christmas. Now I love Christmas even more than the next person. Believe me! But what happened to the greatest holiday, second to Christmas? (my opinion of course)This year I decided that I needed to show my support for Fall by decking out my outdoor decor. Check it out! All images courtesy of Travis J Photography. He rocked it don't you think!?Don't you love my twig deer head? He is the perfect accent for my front door!Check back tomorrow for the breakdown on how to make this little beauty.I kept the decor pretty earthy and natural. I wanted to add color but keep an organic feel, so I used large birch branches that I found on the side of the road (score) to accent my font door and placed a few trunks in my planter beds. I strategically placed fresh gourds and pumpkins throughout the porch and stairs and the trees from my yard helped add color by blowing their leafs all over. Can't wait to show you tomorrow's DIY planter-chair, so be sure to check back for the details.Photography: Travis J Photography
