Flip House: Guest Room Reveal!
Can you even believe how this room used to look?! (see pic below). The old, dirty carpet & floral curtains had to go!!!! I wanted a fresh, neutral, organic feel for this space to bring all those zen vibes to the guest room. Though this room is small, I think that it feels inviting and comfortable with the new look.
When I go for neutral tones, I love layering different patterns & textures. The rug has a cute arrow/diamond type print and the little ottomans bring in a classic stripe. The woven headboard + cane nightstands bring lots of that organic feeling texture to warm the space up! Hanging the curtains at the ceiling gives the room a more grand feel and accentuates the ceiling height for a more open feel. You can see when you compare the before pic to the after pic of the same angle that it almost feels like we raised the ceiling! It's just a simple visual illusion with raising those curtains to the ceiling.
