European Farmhouse Kitchen

Just recently got done styling this gorgeous new custom home for a photoshoot! These stunning cabinets were crafted by the amazing Deco Design. If you've followed me long you know how much I love working with Deron! He's so talented & a true craftsman that specializes in bringing his clients vision to life. He did all the cabinets in my home and I refer him to everyone!!

The homeowner Arianne Morgan, a longtime Instagram follower of mine, built this dream house with her husband Lance literally from the ground up with their own hands! They designed the layout to perfectly suit their family of seven! I love the way the mixed materials play off each other in this space (herringbone brick, painted brick, wood tones, metal, etc). The perimeter cabinets are one of my faves "Shaded White" by Farrow & Ball which is the color I used in my own kitchen-- a perfect neutral, classic tone that pairs well with virtually any other colors! The island is rustic white oak, timeless & fresh. I adore that these double islands Deco Design built for the Morgans are different from each other for added interest! The center one has an open design that gives an authentic European farmhouse feel providing an ideal spot for storing antique crocks that the homeowners have collected over the years! Aren't they cool?

Another favorite aspect of this home is the way it still feels cozy even though it's quite large. Charming details like the glass door china cabinet, a fireplace in the dining nook and warm tone wood elements throughout give this home an inviting atmosphere! The homeowners also made sure to add decor & finishes that spoke to their family history, which is so cool. Here's what Arianne had to say about the unique features of her home "Anyone can recreate something they see from Pinterest when designing/styling their home. To me your home should represent a piece of your soul. It should be a story that represents your life and who you are as a person and a family. That is what makes those who enter in feel connected and welcome. It’s more than just “looking pretty”. When designing our new lifelong home I chose things that had deep meaning to me. My relationship with my grandmother was a huge inspiration. Her favorite color is blue and she raised chickens. So my laundry room represents that and all my memories as a child going to the chicken coop with her. My grandma had lovely avocado linoleum my entire life on her “back porch” which is why I chose the color I did for my pantry. Every time I walk into or by these rooms I’m transported to my grandmas house and I feel her love and influence. I’m preserving her memory and legacy forever! I hope that those who come to my home feel something. They feel my heart. They feel the love that was put into every detail which was done so that all who enter know that they are wanted, just as they are and that they are always welcome. Making things personal by incorporating aspects of who you are into your design makes your house feel like a home where everyone is welcome and all are loved!" I'll be featuring more of those fun elements as we share additional spaces of this home soon!
