DLD Holiday Home Tours: Twice the Fun Part 1

We continue the Holiday Home Tours today with the home of designer Amanda with Branches Event Floral.Q: What is your favorite part about decorating for the holidays?My favorite part about decorating for the holidays is turning up the Christmas music loud, loud, loud and dancing around the house while drinking hot cocoa. I also love bringing out treasures that have been tucked away and finding new ways to use them for a fresh look.Q: How would you describe your design style?I would say I have a traditional decorating style but with a modern take. I love mixing metallics and offbeat color palates. Q: What do you think is key to making a cozy holiday home?A fresh evergreen! There truly is nothing more magical and cozy then a fresh Christmas tree with lots of lights and a heavenly scent. I love them SO much that I have to have more than one. In fact, there are 3 trees in my home! But don't forget warm fires by the fireplace wrapped up with a fuzzy blanket and National Lampoon's Christmas vacation. ;o)Q:What fun traditions do you do for the holidays?There are so many I wouldn't be able to name them all! I have been blessed with amazing family who have carried out Christmas traditions like, cutting our own evergreen, gingerbread house making and Christmas eve pajamas, handmade by the best grandma in the world!
