It's Friday and the sun is shining! That's enough to get us excited, but guess what? We have a special treat in store for you today. We've got travel expert and new DLD Guest Blogger, Kendra Thornton sharing a lovely little beauty DIY. Homemade beauty products are better for your skin and usually more cost effective too, so we're thrilled to share this one with you. Now prepare for a little relaxation this weekend by following some great advice and a fantastic recipe from Kendra..."Being a woman, a mother and a friend, I know how rarely we are able to truly relax.  The phrase “I need a vacation,” has become so commonplace it is a wonder we can complete our to-do lists without demanding a cocktail.  As wonderful as vacations are, there must be an easier way than jetting to the tropics to feel relaxed... right? On my last trip to Honolulu, Hawaii, I had a fantastic experience at the Halekulani Hotel and Spa, ranked among the top hotels in Honolulu. The breathtaking ocean view washed away all of my troubles and I was able, for the first time in a long time, to experience a feeling of calm and serenity. As I watched the lush palm trees rustle in the breeze, I realized how refreshed this spa visit had left me.  After my appointment, I felt I could accomplish anything! Thanks to the advice of my wonderful esthetician, I returned to Chicago with directions to my favorite spa treatment in hand!  This exfoliate is ideal for spring as we wash away winter skin and re-energize for the warm months ahead. With all of our obligations and lists piling up, it can feel like our only option is to drop it all and flee to the airport.  With this DIY tropical face scrub, you’ll feel re-energized and refreshed without having to break the bank for an expensive trip!
