Baking Birthday Party by Design Loves Detail
If you follow us on Instagram then you've seen the sneak peek of this amazing birthday party! When our client Jessica came to us with ideas for her daughters 4th birthday party, we were smitten! A baking party filled with loads of whimsy and color. What could be more perfect!?As always, we started off with our theme and built upon that with a color scheme. We chose a palate of lavender, pink, banana, turquoise and lime, with a play on lots of pattern and texture. Each of the young guests were given a frosted cake to decorate however they chose. They were also given individual containers of sprinkles and coated candies, along with a piping bag to dive into. I loved that this activity let the kids explore their creativity and imagination. One of my favorite elements of the day was the cupcake garlands. We found a plethora of patterned cupcake liners and stung them onto a monofilament line. They added the perfect amount of color and whimsy for the day. Check back tomorrow for the full DIY!But enough with talking, lets take a look at the images! How talented is momma Jessica!? She whipped up these aprons for each one of the littles along with custom chefs hat. SWOON! The menu was to die for! Liege waffles for everyone! We also set up a parfait station where the guests could build their own parfait with various fruits and homemade granola. No party is complete without a rainbow sprinkle cake. Mom Jessica made this sprinkle covered wonder and we adore it!
