Back to School Organization with The Home Depot!
As you may have noticed, I've been working hard on getting things in order around here now that the kids have headed back to school! I've partnered with The Home Depot to show you how I've taken advantage of their amazing "Back to Campus" offerings to organize our playroom closet! And not only do they have a wide selection of baskets, bins & totes, but they also have tons of awesome decor!
I was able to get some really fun products like the woven elephant hamper that works perfectly for holding all my kids dress ups & costumes! I also put my husband to work with a simple DIY since he loves to help out! I wanted to utilize the space underneath the shelves on the right side of the closet and found this white slat wall to be the perfect solution! They come in a variety of sizes & can be easily cut to fit any space, plus I love that they look like shiplap!! You can choose to insert shelves, hooks or baskets into the slat wall so it is a wonderful asset for getting things in order as you customize to your storage needs. I'll share a video with more details of this project later today in my IG stories!
In addition to getting the slat wall added, I also knew I wanted to use clear bins to help my kids see the contents more easily. I'm hopeful this change makes for a better system at clean-up time too! I found the cute metal wire bins at The Home Depot as well and I love that they add some character, but still make it easy to see what's inside! The french blue plastic totes added the perfect subtle pop of color & texture that looks like they were made for this space and they look so cute sitting on the slat wall shelf.
To add a little fun I got these adorable hippo & rhino upholstered kids stools! They're so well made & completely adorable! They've been a big hit around here and are so useful too!! I'm really happy with how this space came together & it's like a breath of fresh air to start the school year off with a freshly organized space.
