Baby Shower- Forest Friends Theme
When I was pregnant with my son, my darling sister-in-law, Heidi, was kind enough to throw me a shower. She was also kind enough to run with the ideas I had for a Woodland/forest animal-inspired theme. I designed some squirrel invitations and also made some coordinating graphics to be used as cupcake toppers & to make a banner. Heidi worked some magic & turned the printables I made into some very cute stuff! See for yourself-- details listed below...
--DETAILS--Colors: Shades of yellow & grey with accents of aqua/seafoam.Invitation: "We're already nuts about our soon-to-arrive baby boy!" Since I used the squirrels holding nuts on the invites, that is where the saying came from.Treats: Darling lemon cupcakes with the coordinating toppers of course. Heidi backed some of the toppers with scrapbook paper & added tulle accents as well.Food: The food was pretty traditional for this shower-- salads, sandwiches & fruit (all delish!), served in yellow dishes of course.Drinks: Lemon water & lemonade-- tied in perfectly with the lemon drops & lemon cupcakes.Decor: Forest animal cutouts covered in patterned paper. Paper garland/banner made from printables and scrapbook paper + tulle. Yellow roses in clear vases (wrapped halfway up with coordinating scrapbook paper, tied with tulle).Resources: The printable cupcake toppers & banner pieces can be purchased from my etsy shop.
