Valentine's Breakfast by DLD
Is always fun to start Valentine's Day off with a special & sweet breakfast for your honey and/or little ones. This year we put together a festive little table with a simple menu that's sure to please. Heart waffles on a stick are a surefire way to surprise your morning diners! We used the Baby Cakes Heart Shaped Waffle Maker, but these can also be done by using a traditional square waffle & using a large heart cookie cutter after the waffle is baked. We also added a little red food coloring to give our waffles a hint of pink! Then just cut strawberries in half length wise, use a mini heart cookie cutter and you've got your self some festive fruit & garnish. We mashed up some frozen strawberries & mixed them in with our maple syrup for a strawberry-infused topping. You can also add powdered sugar, whipped cream and valentine's sprinkles to sweeten things up even more! For our beverage we went with chilled cranberry cocktail juice with chevron straws from Hobby Lobby. And for decor we started with a roll of striped plastic wrapping paper to cover the table. Then we added simple pink candles & pink conversation hearts like confetti. Our DIY Valentine's Canvases made a great backdrop too.
