Organizing my Pantry with The Home Depot!
This month has been all about renewing & refreshing for the new year! Remember my plan to avoid the January blues? Well, I'm happy to say that I partnered with The Home Depot and my pantry organization has been checked off the to-do list! I was able to better utilize the space in my pantry & this tidy atmosphere is also doing wonders for my mood! Did you know that The Home Depot has TONS of great organization products & even home decor online?! I love that their items are well priced and that they can ship directly to you, or you can even pick up in store! Whenever I get the itch to organize, I want to get to work right away. I was able to order these cute baskets online & pick up in store the same day, which was a major help for keeping my project on track!I ordered the larger size of the baskets too and they're the perfect fit! They come in other colors too. I love using baskets because you can fit so much more into the shelf cubbies and they're able to give the space a refined clean look instead of the visual clutter that often happens with open shelving. Also, if you look at my spices... I was able to organize them into one small basket for baking spices and another one for cooking. This has actually been a game changer in helping me find what I need quickly. If I need the larger spice containers at the back, its quick to slide the small basket in front out and grab what I need. Before I often had to move multiple spices out of the way before I could find what I needed. It's such a simple change, but has made such a difference! And you guys, I mean these little bins come in a 2-pack and end up being only about $2.50 a piece! I mean this whole change to make my life function better cost like $5-- best investment I've made in quite some time, no joke!! I also used them to organize the drawers as you'll see in the pics below-- they're the perfect size!Another thing you'll notice about my pantry before was that I had all my cans stacked up on top of each other in the shelf cubbies... this looked fine, but did not function well on a daily basis. I'd actually had a whole stack of cans fall down when having one of my children grab a can of beans for me, which was no bueno! Finding a solution for the can situation was essential! Can you believe how awesome these can organizers are? Another complete game changer for me. I can fit way more now and it's easier to see what I have and may need more of. The shelves of these organizers are slightly angled so the cans roll down and you can always conveniently grab one from the front of the rack. I actually can't believe I'm in my 30's and have never had these before! Another really great investment! To clean up the clutter with bags of chips and snack foods I was able to find these awesome air tight containers. They come in a variety of sizes and have really made it easy to organize foods and also again to help with the inventory situation. I can clearly see how much is left of each food so when I go to the grocery store I know which items are low & need to be restocked without having to rummage through bags and boxes. In fact, I can now just snap a photo of my pantry on my phone and reference it when I'm in the store since I can so easily see the amount of food I have in each container. Note: these containers also come in white, which are even less-- here's the link to them!I've also been searching for the perfect set of white dishes that are simple, modern & affordable. I needed them to be pretty enough to be out on display since my upper shelves are open and these have been one of my favorite recent purchases! Aren't they pretty?! I have linked my other sources (including mini beverage fridge-- which has been awesome) below for you...ORGANIZING SUPPLIES:[show_shopthepost_widget id="3448831"]OTHER PRODUCTS USED IN THIS SPACE:[show_shopthepost_widget id="3448833"][show_shopthepost_widget id="3448921"]Happy Organizing!photos taken by Kristina Bills XOXO.
