Organization: Butler's Pantry Updates

With the new year I always love to create plans for how I can make the coming year better than ever! This year I have a LOT of goals I'm working on for myself, my family & our home! I'm working on a healthier lifestyle and with our growing family (just as they're getting older I mean-- not a pregnancy announcement, haha!) we need lots of space for making that happen. I decided a good place to start would be in the pantry (<= click here to see the before)! It's basically the food hub and prep center around here. We'd started running out of space (believe it or not) so I decided to add a little more storage!

I was able to design a cabinet to give us more storage above the "Costco door" that also still allows that door to be easily accessible for grocery days! And to get things beautifully organized I partnered with Walmart for their New Year, New You Campaign! Their affordable prices and wide range of options always make it possible for me to create the spaces I'm after without spending too much. Can't wait to share all the great products I found with you! First up, to maximize storage in the new cabinet I added some white baskets that hold our paper products-- paper towels, paper plates, plastic forks, cup, napkins, etc.

I also found the coolest tiered expandable plastic shelves that are perfect for maximizing the shelf space and keeping products easy to grab + easy to see with the varying heights! I found these awesome airtight cereal/snack containers from Walmart too that have been great for keeping an eye on the levels left in each-- so helpful for grocery shopping so I know what we're in need of! I used clear, narrow bins to keep the kids snacks easy to see as well. And the white metal basket shelves that just hook right onto the shelf above are an amazing way to get extra storage real estate! Those are from Walmart too! So cool!

It's been awesome to have this extra space and to have a kids "snack station" right at their eye level! Makes for a lot less kids messes when they're on the prowl for food! haha. And also calls coming from the pantry of "mom, there's no food to eat!!". Which I'd say is a big win for everyone! Oh and I also squeezed in a little place for our broom in this space as well-- love that it can be hidden away in it's own spot!

Below you can shop all the Walmart finds I used for this space-- even cute dishes, trays, wood lid canisters, cutting boards, etc! I'm obsessed with these things and the prices are so good! Walmart also currently has a featured curated collection to refresh your home for the new year that you can shop HERE! Some seriously cute things, huh?! Here's to starting the new year off right-- one project at a time! Happy 2020!!
