1.  On straight hair, begin by creating a deep side part.2.  Tuck the shallow side tightly behind your ear and sweep all of your hair over your shoulder to the opposite side.

3.  Use bobby pins to secure the shallow side over to the opposite side, bobby pinning a few inches behind your ear.  Pull the hair tightly across the back as you bobby pin for a more dramatic look.4.  Use a curling iron to curl all of the side-swept hair.  I am using a 1-inch curling iron and am curling the hair towards my face.

5.  Once all of your hair is curled, gently brush through your curls to form a wave.

6.  At this point you can add a hair accessory if you would like to.
