#EuropeanOrganicModern: The Home Exterior Reveal!
You guys, it feels like I'm sharing the first pic of my baby with the world! Haha. So here it is... this is the home I dreamed up clear back in January of 2016 and finally now exists! I thought it would be fun to include my first concept drawing and a couple of the adjustment sketches I made through the process (they're at the bottom of this post). I used a cedar shake siding for the exterior as well as painted brick. I chose bronze windows & accents for some contrast and a sophisticated look. Selecting the products for the exterior was such a process! I wanted to create a look that was unique, but also timeless. I went for some symmetry with a little variation to keep it interesting. After the hundreds of hours that went into designing this home & selecting the materials/elements, I decided after quite a few requests to put together an extended design guide. This includes a basic layout rendering of my home that I custom designed with approximate room sizes listed (in feet) and it also has all the colors and materials listed all in one place (things like the cedar shake color, countertop colors, paint colors, sources for materials, etc)-- it's a 7 page pdf file that's available for instant download here. It took a long time to put this together and I think it should be pretty helpful! And to thank you guys for following along this journey, you can get 20% off right now on the extended design guide with coupon code "IGFRIEND". I've also included product links at the bottom of this post. Happy weekend!Photos taken by Helga Laing Photography & Travis J Photography
