Don't "BUG" Me: Boys Birthday Party

This weekend was host to some party time fun! We assisted in the planning and execution of an adorable little boy's 3rd birthday bash. But not without the help of an amazing little momma, of course! The chosen theme was "Don't Bug Me" which I think was pulled off perfectly! Check out the images along with information about the party details.Color Palate:

  • Orange, Lime and Blue

  • Wheat Grass
  • Logs
  • Terracotta Pots
  • Graphic prints

We added some whimsy by tacking butterfly nets to the ceiling. Some of my favorite numbers from the party were these mini dirt cups. The kids and adults were completely smitten with this unique dessert. We simply placed the dessert in small terracotta pots that we picked up and the dollar store and topped them off with fabric flags and crawling creatures.

Garlic breadstick dough was used to create these edible snails. We used broccoli slaw to give the snails their little feelers.Ants on a logAnt hills were created from cheese balls which were adorned with raisins to simulate ants. Our birthday cake was placed atop a log cake stand and adorned with wheat grass, cookie crumbs and various creatures. Almost too cute to eat! Caterpillars were created by using skewered grapes and melted chocolate for eyes. Our activity doubled as a party favor when we used these mini mason jars filled with all the necessities to house our faux bugs that were dug up from the container garden. After the kidlets found their 8 legged creatures, they placed them in the jars and carried them home to enjoy.
