This project has been such a fun one. I was able to work on this gorgeous home with the awesome couple I used to work for when I was in college! They have great taste and are like family to me, so it was a real honor helping them turn this house into a home! I'm also so excited to share with you some of the awesome, yet affordable finds that went into creating this masterpiece!

This home started out as an 80's ranch that hadn't been updated likely since the time it was built. The kitchen was a tiny, dark, closed in cube in the center of the home and the layout just wasn't functional for today's lifestyle. One of the nice things about a ranch style home is you can typically take out lots of walls because there isn't a second story to support above. This allowed for an open concept layout that feels spacious and airy! It's a completely new home!!

One of my favorite details of the new floor plan is the multi-function office/craft room/laundry room just off the kitchen and garage. I love that every inch of this space can be utilized and that it feels bright and fresh... I mean who wouldn't want to spend time in there?! I selected Farrow & Ball "Pigeon" for the cabinetry. It's a lovely muted grey green that pairs perfectly with the brass handles and slate floor. I just love how it turned out!!

For the kitchen we kept things classic with cabinets in Farrow & Ball "Wimborne White". For the walls we used Benjamin Moore "White Dove". The gorgeous brass toned pendants are on sale right now for just $150!! They come in 3 finishes and look so high end. I love the mix of white and brass with the wood accents for back of island and floating shelves in the family room. Here's the fireplace surround we used for the family room, it's one you can order online! I used the same one in my own master bedroom and love it. I also found the amazing oversized coffee table for just $349 at Downeast Home!! It's not available online, but if you're in Utah, Nevada, Arizona or Idaho look up a store near you and hurry in to get one!
