2020 Holiday Christmas Home Tour
We've officially decorated for the holidays! I'll be sharing a blog post soon with a few more mantel styling ideas, but wanted to share what I've done so far! My inspiration started with this natural Blue Spruce tree that my in-laws gave us. It had been growing in their yard, but got so big they had to cut it down. It was perfect timing so that we could use the top portion of it as our Christmas tree this year!
I played off the tones of the tree by adding some faux greens in a similar shade of dusty blue/green throughout my home-- like the willow leaf garland, stems & wreath! The willow garland mixes so well with my favorite holiday pine garland! My other favorite to mix with pine is the faux eucalyptus one that I featured last year. Mixed holiday greenery gives a classic, organic look which I just adore.
I kept my overall color scheme similar to last year with the neutral cream tones, pops of black and natural wood elements like the bead garlands! For wrapping paper this year I did lots of kraft paper & some with prints for that handmade, simple look. It feels kind of nostalgic to me... like "brown paper packages tied up with string!"
Another favorite holiday element of mine is bells! I mixed them in, in various forms throughout my decor. The affordable bell garland on the mantel (on sale now!!) is a great touch to give that timeless, classic holiday feeling. The mix and match knit holiday stockings are a great compliment to the layered greenery & brass bells. I love the varying textures & details for interest. Knit stockings provide that cozy Christmas feel too!
I will link my finds below & have shared more details in my YouTube video above! Wishing you all a magical holiday season! XOXO.
