New Room Sneak Peek: 2 curated bedding looks!
It's the perfect time for a Fall Refresh and updating your bedding is a great way to do that! I've been busy creating a fresh space for my oldest son who is getting a new room in our basement we've been finishing! I partnered with The Company Store to show you 2 bedding combos I'm totally smitten with!
As it's getting chilly outside, a cozy bed is a MUST! I started off my design with the best basics! The Company Store Velvet Cotton Flannel collection is so soft & is reasonably priced as well! I ordered the sheets + duvet cover from this collection and got this down duvet insert in medium warmth for the perfect plush set up!
Next comes my favorite part... adding pillows, quilts, blankets-- all those finishing touches that make the room come together! For the first look I used 2 adorable striped euro shams in subtle tones of white & taupe. I love stripes because I feel like they're classic & timeless. These shams have great texture too! I selected the new Bennett Velvet Patchwork quilt to pair with the shams since the "stone" color works beautifully to tie in the taupe stripes. I adore the detail on this quilt!! It's subtle changes in tone & the quilted texture are perfection! Then I finished the look with 3 amazingly affordable 20x20 linen shams in grey (can you believe they're on clearance?!!). They have a very slight blue/green undertone that looks awesome with the wall color & rug I used in this space!
For the second look I kept the basics the same and just swapped out the striped white/taupe pillows for some textured throw pillows that I placed in front of the grey linen ones. These pillow covers have incredible texture too! I love the tasseled ends & the raw/organic look they have. For the end of the bed I found this amazing quilt in color "Lake" that's nearly identical to my wall color! It's got a pretty quilted pattern and I layered one of my favorite blankets from The Company Store on top in color "Sterling Grey". I honestly don't even think I can pick a favorite between these two looks so you'll have to let me know what you think! We've got a vote going on over on my Instagram stories, so I can't wait to see which one wins! I always say there's more than one right answer with design so this has been a fun way to demonstrate that!
