My Spring Home Tour Part 3: Primary Bedroom Refresh!

Let the Spring vibes continue! I partnered with The Home Depot to add some fresh, airy accents to my master bedroom and am loving the way it turned out!! Did you know that The Home Depot carries tons of great home decor & furniture pieces online? These natural woven X ottomans are one of my top picks this Spring! They're so versatile and add the perfect amount of texture. I also love the price!! SO good! These ottomans can be used in so many ways... you can tuck them under a shelf or console table like I did in my master bedroom, or you can use them at the end of a bed (included a pic to show you! My bed is King size, BTW). And lastly, they're actually solid enough and tall enough to work as side tables! I'll have to style them that way as well to show you!! Multi-functional pieces are my very favorite!

And speaking of functional, if you're loving my styled shelves and you don't already have shelving, The Home Depot has some great similar options... This one is about 2 ft wide and can fit just about anywhere! They also have some larger options like this 4 ft one! A great DIY project that can really change your space to have a custom feel. Adding shelves to your space also provides useful storage as well as a fun place to display decor!

And in other big news... I was able to find a chair almost identical to my discontinued one pictured below! Check it out here. It comes in 2 colors! The open frame is a detail I adore and helps create that airy feel since it's visually minimal, though still artistic & interesting. A total win in my book!

Now to get you inspired for Springtime, here are my 5 SIMPLE TIPS for achieving this fresh feel in your own home!

  1. Be Intentional-- "Less is more" really is a thing! For a fresh Spring feel you want to keep your shelf styling minimal. It's better to buy less pieces that you really love (even if they're more of an investment) than to just buy things to fill a shelf. I've been switching over to this thinking and am filling my home with items that I really connect with and that make me happy! Like the gorgeous marble & wood circle sculpture on the top shelf that symbolizes eternity to our family!
  2. Think Big-- Large Scale pieces make a big impact and help achieve the minimal, clean look. I'm loving this large scale simple white lidded jar!
  3. Form Meets Function-- I love to display beautiful decor pieces and also love to mix in things that are useful too-- like pretty throw pillows that need a place to be stored when not in use and throw blankets too-- how cute is my new striped one?! This tray is another example-- it's both stunning and useful for containing other decor items to give that clean, organized look.
  4. Texture!!!-- You guys, texture makes my world go round!! haha. Honestly though, TEXTURE is what makes a space feel "collected," "authentic" and "expensive." A few examples of this are the carved bone box, the affordable beaded pillow and the woven ottomans!
  5. Get Creative-- Thinking outside the box can really pay off! Large scale pottery can get extremely expensive... but this beautiful large scale clay bowl is under $30!! It's actually a planter that I thought would look cool displayed indoors as a bowl (turns out I was right, haha-- in my humble opinion of course ;)). It's truly such a great buy and a real statement piece that feels so high end! Pretty obsessed with it!!

Hopefully these tips will help you as you refresh your home for Spring! Adding a few new decor pieces always helps motivate me to get things clean, organized and refreshed. Out with the old, in with the new!! My favorite finds from this space are linked below. Happy styling!
