#EuropeanOrganicModern: Basement Bedroom Reveal!
This room is another recently finished space from our new basement-- my oldest son's room! Since he's 9 years old and the teenage years are just around the corner, I wanted to create a space that could grow with him. I designed an accent wall with a sophisticated color that gives interest, but doesn't feel too age specific! We shared more on this wall color & trim work in this YouTube video:
To balance out the trim wall behind the bed, I created a built-in with desk, shelving and reading nooks! Paint details for this are included here. It's a great way to add fun detail & storage (my kids love to have places to stow their stuff!). The gorgeous lighting in this space is from the ever-amazing Hudson Valley Lighting. The picture light is perfect over the desk and I did a coordinating flush mount that adds a little industrial style sophistication! The black with aged brass is such a cool combo!
